when I first heard an eminem-song, I surely did'nt like it, even if I don't remember it now
but it took years for me to like his songs and then have his songs at home and then slowly discoverd more rap-music - because I thought, there has to be more rappers like him or at least other good rap-music I like

but my whole family just heard (pop-)rock-music when I was a kid and that never catched me that way (unless I'm still a Phil Collins-fan and still no one can understand that )
but nevertheless now I'm still listening to rock - from america, from germany, from japan and from korea
and I'm always searching for new rap and hiphop - from america, from germany, from japan and from korea

and I'm still infecting anyone around me with new rock-music (unless all my friends listen to rock music and my girlfriend once said "yeah, don't like hiphop, but em's ok... here, you can have my em-cd's" I was shocked she had one ) and just a few weeks ago I infected one of my friends with the eminem-virus and now I'm trying to make her listen to other rap-music too - but she doesn't say something like 'Em is the best rapper ever' just 'omg I love Em!' I hope, that'll go by a bit

but she's the first Em-fan I know, who just hears Em instead of rap music in generall
and I just know a handful of rock-fans, who like one or two songs by Em, but they think of it more as pop-songs than real hiphop-songs (I was trying to explain, but it doesn't matter to them)

but I think, every not-every-day-shit-making-musician who's hyped in such a massiv extent has enough loud screaming-fans, who don't know nothing at all

Eminem with other artists I am conscious that i can't compare him because I don't listen to

There is nothing I hate more than mindless Eminem fans. Em is ONE of my favourite rappers, not my favourite as it all depends on my mood so I have a selction (Nas, Pac, Jada, Royce, Common, Talib and more).

I used to go on Eminem's site official forum and it is just crawling with Stans that will defend ANY Eminem song, regardless of quality.

If I ever even mentioned something negative about Em (Refill being a cash-in, fack being shit etc.) I'd get my head bitten of. If you think it's bad on here then you have to check that out, it's ridiculous.

The worst part is, is that the stans always talk about being 'true fans' becase they have every song or they love all his tracks or know every word when IMO being a true fan is about knowing when the artist is off track artistically and when he/she is not at their best.

When I'm around people who aren't into any type of rap I'm comfortable in expressing my liking of Em's music but when your with true hip hop fans, I'll still say it, but it's kinda of embarrasing saying stuff about him becuase of th stans.

I do believe that are more fans that aren't like that than are, but becuase the Stans make comments on everything and use capitals and are forceful in the expressing there pathetic "EMINEM IS THE BEST EVER NO-ONE CAN TOUCH HIM" views, it looks like there is more of them.

posting E = positive opinion, all people posting Em probably have the same opinion, so they figured posting E is the easiest way to express it. That's smart if you ask me, instead of taking time to write comment, you just need to copy/paste and people still can understand your opinion

It's weird what em did though, he has a lot of rock/punk fans who only really listen to eminem. I know a lot of people that like/love ems music but don't even really listen to any other hip-hop, and those who do often only listen to less known/unsigned/non-commercial rappers.

I understand that people get pissed with em fans for good cause, but in the end it will all only ever be opinion, so with that problem, I guess there really is no reason because people will defend who THEY like in the end anyway...At least for the most part
