Yeah ^ we've grown accustomed to this though :sweating:

At least it's not 4 years, or after an album like encore :8)

Good news Em is working with another producer, for me Dre was the one holding his evolution back. Em with new producers will produce music unlike what we've heard IMO.

But Mr. Porter said the album was in the 11th hour in fucking November. Now it's Febuary and he's doing new tracks with DJ Khalil now? Aka still making new material aka nowhere near fucking done.

I'm guessing June release for R2.

Yeah but the albums gunna be fire, plus all this means is more songs to eventually hear. If he dropped the album a month ago, or 2 months ago, we'd have nothing to look forward to. All this is doing is having him do more shit, so I think in the long run it's for the better :y:

Though I do want material now :sweating:

someone should really leaked something, I can't stand waiting like this for another don't know how long  And there's not gonna be any award show anytime soon so he's gonna go missing AGAIN. Fuck

"Al, who serves as the Detroit lyricist’s tour DJ, revealed that he has yet to score a beat on Em’s project. “I’m starting to be around Em and the camp more,” he said, “especially finishing these albums. Factor in Em’s sober now, it’s like that’s my man, we chop it up a lot more now…it’s like little by little I’m figuring out what I have to do to create a sound that would be Alchemist/Eminem. I didn’t get it yet.”

So Alchemist isn't on Relapse 2 at present? Hmmm...

The longer he takes making songs with different producers the better the album gets. More variety FTW! :y:

Though this doesn't mean the album is far from done. It's possible that 80% of the album is locked in and mastered, and Em is just removing the worst songs of the album to bring up the overall quality.

Yeah but for all we know he could of had the best album ever in November like Mr. Porter was suggesting. He was saying "zero filler" and it's "in the 11th hour" and is "very balanced" and like MMLP.

So it COULD mean he just keeps getting better but there has to be a cut off point, I'm just hoping it's not the other and that he's wrecking a perfect item, for all we know he could be unbalancing it thinking it's getting better.

That's kinda what I'm thinking too. The wording that Alc used seems to suggest that the album is pretty much finished. At this point I think Em is just being the perfectionist that he is, trying to pound out a few more dope songs to replace ones that he may not be totally happy with. But I would venture to say that the core of the album is finished.

lol what makes you think Mr. Potter was telling the truth back then. Paul probably told him to give those details in purpose to keep up the hype while they're stalling the album.

Because I don't buy into such lame, vague chants like "don't believe the hype".

I judge each individual separately and each statement separately, so I'm not gonna brand anything anybody who knows Em says as 'hype' and automatically disbelieve them.

That interview was with a TINY UK Hip-Hop station and the reactions Mr. Porter gave were from the interviewer proddding him not him sat there hyping it up so I don't buy that he was just bullshitting for the sake of Em's fucking hype, not at all.

If they wanted to do that then they would have him do it to fucking XXL. Mr. Porter was speaking genuinely and you can hear him trying to genuinely explain his thoughts on it. It's nothing at all like Ca$his or somebody just talking smack.

You can hear the cogs turning and him trying to express his feelings on it best he can and you can tell by the way people speak and the way they put things etc. etc. It wasn't hype, so obvious he was speaking honestly on it.

@Eminembase no album ever has no filler. So my guess is that there was some fillers on there and most of those is being replaced. Oh and Mr. Porter was definatly over exagerating. But you shouldn't expect this to be completely filler less, but it will hopefully be good fillers :y:

Also of course Porter just wasn't talking shit to hype the album up, but he probably exagerated a bit.

I'm not saying it was completely false. IMO he probably heard few tracks . But some info like it was nearly complete & in 11th quarter could be false, as Em was writing non-stop and they probably didn't even decide the tracklist by then.

I don't mind waiting for Relapse 2. Em said he doesn't feel like his made the perfect album in his career yet, and now with all these awesome producers on board and Em taking his time to work on it, i really think Em wants Relapse 2 to be that perfect album and so won't release it untill it is.
