well initially i opposed it because i always thought of em as a guy who doesn't have any business with pussy rappers and pop singers, but when they actually started making songs together i thought it was hilarious that em killed him on two tracks with ease, plus doing tracks with wayne will gain em more fans and publicity and of course build the hype for R2 however i still wish he picked better rappers to get on a track with.

That about sums it up, I think.

just because we all know Eminem can kill Wayne on a track, why do we need to hear it any more? Isnt Forever and Drop the World enough ....its not like those are classic songs, just examples of Em crushing the shit out of a weak-ass rapper.

Lets just hear Em prove himself against himself, we already know he can kill other rappers when he's barely even on his game.

exactly though. My point was that every rapper does that so it's wrong to get at wayne just for that. The truth is he has really good lyrical skill, no doubt. If you deny that then thats your opinion and I respect that. But even the really good lyricists say so like tech em jay z nas etc. The truth is his delivery is what brings him down. If you listen to his old albums he was pretty good in both delivery and wordplay but nowadays it's like he's been bored. Carter 3 is a perfect example because only a few tracks are even worth a mention. He ruined himself with lolipop... At least until the remix. IMO the stuff he's done with drake and young money lately has been noteworthy cuz it's him actually trying. I'm not a diehard Wayne fan but I do take a look through hip hop in different views and not myopically.

Now in regards to em, he's had the same thing happen. His first two albums were great the eminem show was good but then he got bored and made encore which itself only had a few noteworthy tracks. He even claimed himself he was bored. Forward to 06 he displayed his old talent again on the re up however everybody even pointed out it was nothing new especially no apologies which was recycled freestyles. Relapse happened to be a noteworthy effort which was a dope album in all because
of his delivery and his wordplay. Of course he had the accent but if you point that out then you might as well be poking fingers at bar and sajjad and axe d when they have accents in their songs. If that's how the songs power is able to be brought out then it's how an artist will do it. Imagine we made you without the accent and understand it would be difficult to spit that at a regular pitch. Now I'm an em fan to the max but I also know where his limit is.

With the Wayne and em tracks it's good because it's two different styles regardless. And if creatd a new diversity in forever and drop the world then it would have been. Not only that but many fans wanted these collabs to happen so they can tell the opposite side em/Wayne does suck. But it can't be done. They held their own, branched out from the usual collabs, smashed a track, and made people remind them of why they love them.
