Oh EASILY the most versatile.

Critics who say he hasn't evolved or doesn't change must be listening to a different guy to me.

Because you can take two Eminem songs... Back to back in years... Sometimes on the same album and they sound TOTALLY different. Different tone, feel, flow, rhyme structure...

My Name Is vs. The Way I Am
Drug Ballad vs. White America
Business vs. Cleaning Out My Closet
Square Dance vs. Till I Collapse

He invents a new flow literally nearly every track. In fact I think it's fair to say he quite almost literally does. Reason why is because he writes or fits his rhythm to the beat as opposed to just rapping 'over' or 'on' a beat like most.

Aside from that though, people say all he mentions is his family etc. = Bullshit.

First two albums were almost entirely horrorcore, social commentary, character-play, story-telling and about hip-hop. With a few personal songs here and there. It was only really on the next two he got personal and that's because the first two were personas and the next two about his new life / new-found fame and family struggles.

He covers more line to line than most do album to album and I even heard him say before that he purposely makes sure he doesn't burn himself out by spreading his subject matter too thin each time. That's why every album has a specific and consistent theme / feel to it. I'm also quite impressed by the fact he's consciously aware of burning himself out and foresees it though. That's good.

Yep. Easily the most versatile, rhyme wise, flows, humour... The irony... Ridiculously tender and satisfying. Can't wait for R2.

I like tupac's beats but where is the part where he outshines em?

It's opinion, if people like tupac better they will say he is better, just like you think eminem is better than tupac, you like him more so you stick up for him. It's the way it is man

Imo 2Pac outshines Eminem when it comes to connectiong with the listener. And from my point of view 2Pac has more interesting subject material (though this is depends heavily on what you see as interesting). Though Eminem beats Pac on rhymes and flow easily.

And, yeah, I can agree that Eminem is extremely versatile. Most versatile ever? Maybe, I'm not certain...

_SacJB wrote:I realized something. People who say Eminem isn't versatile are stupid. There isn't a single thing Eminem can't do its not even funny. He can do things people can not. You want em to freestyle, he can freestyle. He can be lyrical as hell. He can make killer songs. He can make the cheesy and funny songs. He can make emotional songs. He can make songs to diss people. So when people say he only can sing about Haly, that is so stupid. Eminem can do it all. Better than Tupac. There can't be any rapper who has accomplished more than him.

you said it homie
