Mainstream stopped fucking with him since Relapse cuz he turned to a serial killer and not being a popstar anymore. And not to mention the weird accent put people off
I don't know if we're talking about Em as an emcee or a star in this thread but if we're talking about Em's career in general, Relapse definitely hurts his career the most. You only have one chance to prove people after 5 years & the let down Encore, but he kinda fucked it up

Relapse just didn't live up to the hype and a rather forgettable album.
Em lost either way.
Well, it's official; you're a complete fucking idiot.
How the fuck could it be a disappointing album after you'd heard ENCORE and REUP, dipshit?
Anyone who expected something along the lines of his first 3 albums was a delusional buffoon.
The album was nothing short of SHOCKINGLY GOOD considering the circumstances. He literally nearly died, put out absolutely atrocious music from 2003-2007...and you think RELAPSE hurt his legacy?
"Em lost"...you lost when you ate paint chips as a baby. I'd tell you, "down the road, not across the street"...but you wouldn't even get it. So instead, I'll just suggest that you kill yourself.
damn dude you need help
but yeah, i think after encore he probably did lose some fans, or listeners. But relapse reopened those doors, and gave back what we were missing in the game. You can lay down all of gucci mane's stuff and wouldnt even hurt 1 track on relapse lyrically.
To me, i think relapse re-won him alot of respect for alot of the content in his shit too, Em even had icp fans on youtube saying 3 am was dope, so that
has to mean something
Legacy wise, all artists take a stumble, and if you really think about it, his legacy is still EMbraced to this day, something other rappers dont get. Its not often you see other rappers begging like a bitch to be on a track with you
