eminem and the word 'Faggot'

guys, i didnt really wanna start a thread on this, but i read a page and it made me think 'what the fuck'


gay people obviously do not like eminem, because he uses the word faggot so much, but now when i argue with a friend or have a dispute i often say shit like 'fuck off you faggot, or suck my dick faggot, its not cuz he's gay and i hate him for it, its just an insult lol,

which brings me to the argument, do you think em is a gay basher or is he just saying it to just simply say it, and insult people he doesnt like, personally i think he has nothing against gay people, and homo's are just making something of nothing,

I'm straight but I'm very much against the homophobia in some hip hop. If you're asking whether Eminem is homophobic, I don't believe he is at all. Are his LYRICS homophobic? That's a different and more difficult question. Personally I believe it's all part of his "slim shady" persona, and need not be taken seriously. He says a lot of crazy stuff.

thanks for this answer, i just cant understand why gay people (SOME) gay people like the people who pickteted him are so angry at him, especially when he said he wasnt doing it to insult them, its stupid, its like i was at school with a kid who grew up not knowing his dad, and he argued with a kid who called him a BASTARD, and he took offense to it, (because it means someone who doesnt have a dad), but the guy said he never said it to insult him, its crazy how touchy some people are, they go mad about shit not even aimed at them, and thats stupid i reckon and it would be very unfair to ruin the gig for eminem fans just cuz they dont like it cuz he calls other people faggots,

I once knew this deaf kid when I was a lot younger, a nice boy. And at school, someone said to someone else something along the lines of "for fuck's sake, are you DEAF?!" and the deaf kid that I knew caught wind of this and was extremely offended. I guess we never know how it feels until we're in their position. So we can't really judge.

That's the thing, we will never know until we're in the position. We see it as people being overly sensitive, but we will never really know.

Actually, I take particular offence when someone tries to offend me in the following manor

"I fucked your mum"

because my mother is in fact, not alive anymore. So maybe i can relate, on some level.
