I hope he mentions Barack Obama at least once.

he's to modest some times, i dont want him to come out and bost about shit i just hope he reflects on the great things hes done in a insane lyrical way

If he does it like Jay-Z does, I don't think I'll be able to stand it. BP3 lyric's were about as deep as puddle and were just like "Yeah I'm the best du du du du du" which gets boring after about half a listen.

Em can still rap about social issues. May not have the same impact as MMLP but class system, fucked up society, poverty etc are still there.

Yup. We also have a lot of political fun up ahead.

And, I dunno about the rest of you, but I really don't mind if he repeats a subject for a track once or twice.

Just as long as there's a bit of time between them =)

It seems that he has talked about everything but when the album comes out we'll see if that's true. Probably he'll surprise us

He does but it's not really adressing it, just mentioning it as part of another reference. If that makes sense...

How Come, My Dad's Gone Crazy, Cleaning Out My Closet, and Stan. I read some time ago that Em wrote a song that was about Ronnie. He was going to put it on either SSLP or MMLP but his family disapproved of it so he ditched it.

^
- his depression - I think Beautiful is enough, I'm sure don't wanna hear another track about him being 'fucking depressed'
- struggles with fame - he's been away from public eye for 5-6 years, and even now we only see him at public every 3 months, that's hardly something to struggle :coffee:
- his status in hip hop - maybe mention some lines, but a whole song about how he's the best is too much, but I'm sure he's not gonna do it though, he's not like Jay-Z.
- kim,hailie - he can't mention Kim directly anymore
- his mom - smh #weoffthat
- brittany murphy - pretty sure they haven't met since ..2002

other than that you got the points with other topics :y: but you forgot concept songs (Stan-like, not 3am-like)

there is more to write about his drug addictions. It was only in Deja Vu that I feel he really nailed it. Most of the songs on Relapse weren't personal at all, just random rhymes about vicodin, etc.

I definitely see a lot more self boasting tracks on R2...which I like, so I won't complain

Its his job to think about that, not ours. He's the rapper. If you guys can predict most of the stuff thats gonna be on R2, it means that Em lost his credibility. Element of surprise.

What I have to say isn't good. So... I'll just leave it at that. Em's my favorite rapper EVER but I also don't want him to ruin his name because he can't let go the fact that the game has moved. So if R2 is everything that people say it is I think he'll be fine but if he come s back with shit like he did on R1, honestly, I think he's done. But what does he have to rap about anymore? The kids ears have changed so much since Em was at the top. THe industry has changed period, WE all love that lyrical shit but nobody is into that shit anymore other. And the last thing I want to hear is Eminem coming on a bunch of dance songs trying to fit in and gain the younger kids ears.

I agree in some respects. I still think there are similar issues going on in the world especially scoiety in general that MMLP was based around that he could still look at. May not have the same effect but the problem is still there. He's an entertaniner and very creative so I'm sure he'll think of something.

That is the one thing I'm worried about, is the dance type songs. I pray that he doesn't try and hit the mainstream too much. Cus the mainstream audience has changed dramtically over the past 10 years, and now maintsream "rap" music is aimed at 15 year old girls. I'll be angry if he heads in that direction.
