As much as we'd hate that, it'd probably be the best thing to do. I don't think Lady Gaga should do the song, because it's two completely different genres (she should get on a second single though, or a third, that will really broaden his audience), but someone like Drake or Lil Wayne would do wonders for his radio play for a first single. If he got on a track with Drake or Wayne, that will build anticipation between both Em and Wayne/Drake fans. I think a song with an Em verse/Drake chorus/Wayne verse/Drake chorus/Em verse/Drake chorus would be a decent song, if he had to have both of them on there. If it was just one, I would want it to be Drake, because he's a better lyricist than Wayne IMO. I'd actually really enjoy that collaboration, Drake is extremely popular right now, almost to Wayne status and Wayne is about to go to prison for a while. But having the both of them on there would shoot it up to top 10, probably number 1. As much as I hate to say it, that is the best and smartest thing he could do right now. If his first single was number 1, imagine the album sales. It'll do twice of what Relapse did first week, and over time it'll probably sell a lot, especially if the album itself is a classic along the lines of MMLP or TES
Why do you want a single that will be a hit and that will make the album have a more buzz? I couldnt give 2 fucks about sales or anything like that. I want a pure lyrical song with no shitty guest appearences from bubblegum rappers. Fans are gunna be buzzed for the album regardless whether it's poppy or not. In fact, if it is poppy then I think most fans will be less excited for the album. Sales mean nothing to me, I want good rap music.

Sorry if I pissed you off, but I thought this topic was about what route do we think he's going for. I think it's SMART for him to do that, as far as record sales go. I'm pretty sure I wanna see Em at the top again, and I bet you all do to. I didn't say I "wanted" anything, I said it would be smart. Big difference. Personally, I just want the song to be a great one. But, that's me. For other people, it might not mean so much. Gotta look at these things from all angles, and that angle was a business perspective. Personal perspective, I don't want Wayne or Drake, but I'll tolerate them as long as the song is good. Hence the "I hate to say this..." in my first post. I want the whole album to be lyrical, I want it to be as great as it's being made out to be, but I would also like to see Em be back at the top. And apparently Em and Wayne have been recording songs together, so...they may be able to bring out the best in each other. Because Drop The World was a pretty decent track IMO, even though the chorus to me is stupid, Wayne's verses were not bad, they were boring, but they actually made sense.
I won't rant any further. I just did not want to be misunderstood. I want Em to do good, but it won't change my mind on how I feel about the album. That's all I'm saying
I think Em's happy about where he is now since he don't wanna be on top then end up in rehab again.
