Question on Hellbound.

Postby MikeNUFC » Feb 17th, '10, 16:51

Sorry if this belongs in Shady Reviews, but it's not a review as such so wasn't really sure.

Now, I always thought Hellbound was an original song until I heard interview with Em & Masta Ace on Shade 45 a year or so ago where Em says he has NEVER heard the song and Masta Ace says it's not real; was put together by his record label for a compilation album.

So I assume they take Em's verse from Hustle & Hardcore with Domingo.

But on Hustle & Hardcore Em's verse ends, and the chrous kicks in, at

Coke and acid, black magic, cloaks and daggers (ahhh!)
Fuck the planet, til spins on a broken axis

However, on Hellbound, there are a couple of extra lines

I'm so bananas I'm showin up to your open casket
to fill it full of explosive gasses
and close it back with a lit match in it
while I sit back and just hope it catches
Blow you to fragments
Laugh roll you and smoke the ashes

Where do the last few bars come from? Or have I got a shortened version of Hustle & Hardcore?

Any help is appreciated as this has been doing my head in! :y:

Just listened to the interview again and Masta Ace says "It was a verse you [Em] did for a another project that never happened so they put it on Hellbound beat and put it on the compilation album"

Someone can lock this thread now. :y:

Btw isn't that hellbound beat just dope as hell.

Oh and that interview is worth checking out if anyone hasnt heard it. :y:
