Clearly at this point Em has ALOT of songs that are not gonna end up making R2, it would be nice if he released some of them just for the hell of it

I'm perplexed as to why he never let's us hear the songs that don't make the final cut to his CDs.

Refill could've been really special, now it's going to always be remembered as a quick way to get us to part with our cash .

Refill was the biggest cash in ever. I was never going to buy that CD. Why he didn't release it as a free mixtape or a 2 quid CD or something I'll never know. Interscope must have know most Em fans have Relapse so to put the whole of Relapse on again and to make fans fork out an extra 10 pound for FIVE new songs was a disgrace.

Yeah, I don't know why he just didn't do that. Five (new) songs does not tide people over for months more.

It was a definite money grab by interscope, but I don't think they thought it out very well, or even had the fans in mind at all. And that's part of the reason why it would be nice of Em just released even just a couple of songs just for fan enjoyment. Once he realized that he would be changing directions for the new album, why keep Refill at only 5 new songs.

Yea this is the oNLY thing I hate bout Em, he's copies Dre tactics too much! All this bullshit for hype & making ppl crave for ur songs is annoying............Its not that big of a deal to jus release a few songs not making the album cut, why keep soo many songs in the vault when u have millions of fans that desperately wana hear them??? You can't just release songs the day after you record them. Eminem wants to get his best songs (or most of them) into one album, as he said (and others) will be on Relapse 2.

before that only songs I knew of him were Just Lose it, Like Toy Soldiers, Mockingbird, Ass Like that When I'm gone, also Lose Yourself, Real Slim Shady, Without Me, My Name is. You got the answer.

yeah. the contrast in quality between 1999-2002 em & 2004-2009 em would be much more obvious to someone who's listening to both his old & new music for the first time. for someone like me, i've overplayed his old music & i get a bit bored of it (even though i'm well-aware it is better than his recent music).

which is why i'm going to listen to R2 a few times & wait for some of the novelty to wear off before i post an opinion on it.

That's true. IF you've been listening to Em's old stuff (when they were new) for years then have to wait 5 years for new stuff you gunna be more likely to wanna listen to Relapse than the stuff previous to that 5 years as you've listened to it so much. I think Relapse is very underappreciated.

yeah the quality gap is huge And from the start I didn't think Relapse was bad at all, I was impressed actually that's why I gave his whole discography a chance. And the rest is history.

think about it I can't believe I never gave his music a chance until Relapse so glad that I did , better be late than never R2 is the first Eminem album that had me anticipated, unlike you guys who waited 5 years for Relapse
