Conspiracy Theory - Eminem Album Sales

Postby LilWayne4Life » Feb 20th, '10, 07:55

Anyone else find it odd that until last year Em only had one #1 record but supposedly sold over 80 million records? look up everyone that sold the same if not more albums then em they all had #1 singles in there album(s) other reason why i question this is because i do not hear people talk about eminem. not in school, not in clubs, party's, anywhere even in 2002 i never hear anyone talk about em but maybe a person here or there. also notice how the top 7 people associated with dre is in the top 10 best selling rappers ever 1.Eminem 2.2pac 3.Snoop 4.Eazy-E 5. 50 Cent 6.Ice Cube 7. (Dre himself) I will be editing and adding more into this topic as i discover more things.

Btw im in no way a eminem hater, more of a fan then anything :coffee:

elvis had monstor sales, and so did the beatles, as eminem. But you know what they have in common?

THOSE WERE DIFFERENT TIMES.
people dont talk about them as much, because the newer generation is into newer shit. no one today talks about eminem, cause waynes dick is so far in there mouths, all these new kids werent even in there teens back in Em's glory days.......thats why not that many people talk about him today :y:

Em has 11 songs that went no. 1 worldwide.

Lilwayne4life...you are officially retarded...you think it takes number one songs to sell records...just because people don't request a fuckin song on the radio doesn't mean he doesn't have monster sales...oh and Em has almost 2 diamond records...you think that the RIAA just makes those numbers up...they're not like wayne (wayne in an interveiw said he sold 1.5 mil with C3 in its first week when he just barely made a Mil) don't be a bigot on this site...say this kinda shit on LilWayneHQ.

Oh and Wayne has yet to have a diamond album, has been in the game longer than Em, has only two platnum record and 1 number one album...and has not sold an eighth of what Em has yet has twice as many albums...suck cock Wayne4life

LilWayne4Life
Barack Obama complimented Lil Wayne:
"You are probably not that good a rapper. Maybe you are the next Lil Wayne, but probably not, in which case you need to stay in school."
Isn't that enough for you, without trying to take away the credibility of Em fans?

....and whats the conspiracy your thinking of? that they are not giving him credit for enough #1 hits? Or that you think they may be inflating his total records sales of 80mil+?

I personally pertain the idea that Em has had quality albums. MMLP as well as TES, too me are underrated in the rap game compared to the likes jay, or dare I say Pac. As the OP mentioned, it doesn't seem many people are talking about him as much as other rappers. I know he hasn't released as much music as some, but it almost has gotten to the point some think it isn't "cool" to talk, or even "bump" Eminem in your car around where I am. I love his lyrical-presence and I think his suburban appeal is the reason he can reach the masses, thus selling 80 mil.

*For a side-not, I think Pac is the greatest Rapper of all time, but Em is the best lyrically, IMO. And Yes, I "bump" Em no matter where I go, or who's in my car :y: (I'm sure we all do TRS)

Eminem isn't talked about?

Maybe not now, but trying saying that in 2000 - 2003 when he was in his prime. He was the biggest artist in the whole regardless of genre. He was everywhere, even in Britain. When he came to BRitain to perform it was all anyone was talking about.

It's easy to say he isn't talked about now, but I bet Lil Wayne wasn't talked abut when he wasn't in his prime? In Britain he's not even talked about when he's in his peak.

lol this is another stupid thread. His music sales are what they are. 84 Mill Albums and 35 Mill Singles/Downloads. 119 Million Records.

Plus Eminem was bigger than any musician has ever been in Nov 2002. #1 Album Worldwide (8 mile), #1 Movie Worldwide (8 mile), #1 Worldwide single (Lose Yourself)and on top of all that a Top 10 album still (Eminem Show after 6 months). Nobody will ever achieve this again. :)

Are you serious? Lol.

Illuminati.

.....

  I bet that's what you wanted to hear, right. 1999-2001 Em was Lil Wayne. From where I grew up, anyways. I remember people used to think Em was some 1-hit wonder, corny white boy (ala Vanilla Ice) around the time SSLP dropped. Then he showed up on 2001 backing up Dre and everyone was like "Oh Sh*t". Then around the time MMLP dropped the "Greatest Rapper Alive" shit surrounded Em just like it did Wayne, and suddenly he was f*cking everywhere. Remember EmTV, and TRL where he showed his retarded bleached-haired face every 2 minutes? Yeah.

It was around the time that "Eminem Show" dropped that the accusations of going "Pop" and falling off appeared, and he started losing his underground influence. Most fans think this is his best album by far, but the entire rap fanbase as a whole thought he was becoming too mainstream (There was far less shock value, no edgy songs like "Kill You" or "Kim", he seemed to be rapping slower, etc.). At the same time he dropped Devil's Night with D12 and....well..in the words of "Joe Budden". (I'm sure there's gonna be that 1 faggot that is in love with the Eminem Show who is going to
stop reading around the part where I said he went pop and quote me to try and start an argument. Before you do: Fuck You too)

Who Killed Hip Hop? Lyrics wrote:Or when rap dudes started signin they friends
Instead of goin out and tryin to find nigga's with skill
Seen it when d-12 put out purple pills
And while the whole hood laughed them niggas sold a mill

And then he signed 50, who got eaten up like candy by the mainstream. At the same time he took up this weird ass gangster persona in interviews and started rolling with G-Unit, and you can see this influence on his music as well, because suddenly in every feature he was on, he was on some "Fucking You Up, Gangster Style" shit and constantly bringing up the pistol incident in his songs. Of course, this only made the mainstream fans more amped up for his next album....So he gave it to them.

And here we have Encore.... :shakehead: ......Oh, but maybe he can redeem himself with this Re-Up shit...... :shakehead: ......Oh shit, maybe the D12 album.... :shakehead: .....Curtain Call?... :shakehead: ......Guest appearances?... :shakehead: ....Touchdown?.... :shakehead: ....Smack That?... :shakehead:

And thus begin the massive decline of Eminem. Critically, he made a comeback with Relapse, but his prime is over. He's still brought up here and there in conversations but that's usually only for the Mariah Carey thing or "We Made You". Maybe he can fully steal back the mainstream from Wayne with Relapse 2, and maybe that might be his best album to date but.... :coffee:
