I dont understand the hate for this song. It's great and I think people are letting little things detract from its overall quality. I agree that Eminem should try and get his hooks back to how they were on TES though, his hooks definetely havent been working since his comeback besides Beautiful, Stay Wide Awake, Old Times Sake, Insane (not too bad) , Careful What You Wish For (not too bad) and Music Box.

What about Elevator? I personally think its hook is amazing.

I'm not sure how much of this is true, because people have also claimed he dissed Wayne, Kanye, Drake, Dre, Cashis, and 50 Cent (Recently ) before, so it might just be kids looking for "pictures in clouds". But...Iunno.

The highlighted line is such a 'stan' thing to say. If someone dissed Em subliminally then i guarentee the same person would say "Why does he have to be subliminal blah blah blah. WHat a pussy etc etc". And I swear Em himself has said that he he 'hates when people subliminilly diss' on a song. Cant remember which though.

I originally thought this was Insult To Injury...the beat seems similar to Underground with the bomb effects and Alchemist said it picked up where Underground left off. Anyone else see it?

it's a great, thumping Dre beat (it's cool how like every 4th snare it sounds like a bomb dropping)

when i started listening closer and paid more attention i noticed that too and how he rhymes with it in sequence, pretty cool

I love this song. It's the closest he's got IMO, in some of the lines to truly re-viving that old spark of wit which he's been missing. I love the flow too.

@slimsoxshady - Nah I doubt that. Alc said "Insult to Injury" was in his normal voice and picked up where it left off... And obliterated it. "Drop the Bomb on Em'" sounds totally different. Its only similarity is it's random punchlines.

In response to these claims he's dissing people I don't think he's dissing anybody.

All the lyrics are random battle lyrics. He's said himself he hates subliminal and denounced it... Although he has done it a few times himself.

But I don't think any of the lines are. The sedative meds line maybe only but he could be referring to himself to sort of... Well he's rapping in character... He does odd shit like this all the time. People also think he was dissing Game when he says "Apology not accept boi Detroit is a rock" but I also doubt this, he's just spitting random battle lyrics.

That's part of the reason he's using 'boi' constantly, it's aimless punchline dissing.

I just noticed him making the punchline hit on every background bomb drop too. Now that's what you call dedicated song making. I love these little meticulous details he threads through things. Very few people care this much about their craft.
