Relapse replay value - now and in the future

Postby shadyboymez » Feb 25th, '10, 00:05

After a very decent amount of time has passed for us all to have our true judgements on Relapse (unless you live under a rock), I want to know what kind of play it is getting while mixed into everyone else's music collection.

Personally, I seem to go through phases where I will either listen to my favorite Relapse and Refill tracks at the same time, or listen to any old Eminem, not really including Encore/Re-Up these days, besides No Apologies. I am a fan of all kinds of music, from hip-hop, underground, classic rock, soft rock, experimental rock... from the 60s to today, so I have a lot to choose from. I listen to Eminem quite a bit when it comes to my rap music, but now it usually is his older stuff that I want to hear more than Relapse songs.

Overall, I think that as time passes, fewer songs from Relapse will hit me the way that so many songs from SSLP, MMLP, and Eminem Show continue to sound today.

Those of you who only listen to Eminem, or even only listen to rap should broaden your horizons.

Heh, I dont get you people. Why on Earth would you care if someone wants to listen to only one artist? What could you possibly gain from all that?

I found that i've hardly listened to Medicine Ball or Must Be The Ganja. Some of the other songs have grown on me over time like My Darling. Because Relapse is still fresh its still getting more play than any other Em album for me. But in my music collection it is getting less play now, got loads of fresh songs pushing it down the list.

Agreed :smoking:

I'll listen to whoever the fuck I want and that's eminem for the majority of the time :worship:

I've been listening to mmlp songs more lately, and it's mixed in my ipod with relapse tracks, I like that they;re completely different feels, and I enjoy listening to relapse as I do his old shit. He impresses me differently on relapse than in his older shit, and because of that it has replay value to me :y:

LOL. I think I haven't listened to any Eminem after I downloaded songs off Coleon's mediafire. :sweating:

The last time was yesterday, because my brother played beautiful and sing for the moment on loudspeaker mode.

I been listening to lots of JMT, Killah Priest, Dead Prez, KRS-One, and Nas.

Oh well, the replay value of Relapse, imo will soon go back up if Relapse 2 is released. I'm confident.

Relapse now has absolutely no replay value

i like relapse alot
but even em sort of admitted in that relapse didnt have as much replay value
he said something that like at the moment the joke was funny but now its over,,,,, something like that and he said he's tryin to make the songs for relapse 2, songs that u cud listen to forever
i sort of overplayed relapse for a LONG time.... i think ever since refill came out i stopped playin relapsebut every once in a while i'll listen to a few songs
