I was just wondering; does Eminem ever attend the BET awards the way he's all over MTV awards. Remember... his doing black music.

i don't think he's got big chances.. 'just lose it' was quite funny, but 'hate it or love it' was better.. and i don't think that 'mosh' would bring em award.. but maybe im wrong.. :P

Whether you like the tracks or not is not really the issue since the VMA's are supposed to be about the videos, not the songs, and Mosh is an excellent video and deserves to be nominated! However, one of the big problems with MTV awards has always been that certain very popular artists will beat less popular artists even though they actually made the better video etc. just because most members of the MTV audience don't vote for the quality of the video, song or performance but for their favourite artist in general which makes the MTV awards more of a popularity contest than an award show (sorry, just had to get that off my chest  ).

I think you are right but isn't the same with the others ceremony awards ? I think there is a very few ceremony where the votes aren't fake. We don't know everything, they tell us what they want...
ps : sorry for my english, i think i made some mistakes...

Your English is fine so don't worry about making mistakes, we all do

I guess what you mean is that all the so-called experts who decide who gets the Grammies and Oscars etc. also vote for their personal favourites just like the MTV viewers? You're probably right in some cases, but I do think that they generally tend to award quality rather than e.g. just good looks aso. I think Eminem's Oscar for Lose Yourself proves that even the very conservative and controversy-allergic Academy will acknowledge an absolute masterpiece of soundtrack music when they hear it even if Eminem probably isn't their favourite musician...

As for fake votes, I do think the MTV votes are genuine, I just think that a lot of the voters cast their votes for the wrong reasons - for example, a lot of Eminem fans will vote for Eminem's videos not because they think they're the best videos but because they're Eminem fans.

Yeah, I agree with you. But I still think that some smaller ceremony like the nrj music awards for example (I don't know if you got it in the us) or even the cesars are not genuine sometimes...
Just my thoughts...

I suppose the NRJ Awards must be the French equivalent of the American Music Awards and the Cesars are the French equivalent of the Golden Globe / Oscars, right? I don't think they broadcast the French shows in the US but I'm not sure, I'm from Denmark myself - we have French tv stations via satellite, but I never watch them though, my French is really bad...
