well idk i just never liked it much doesnt really appeal tome
i did research though before i came to that conclusion..so im not hatin
and i gotta say there sum out there that are really good
ofcourse if u think bout oldskool female rappers u immidiatly think of people like "Mc Lyte"
but i wanted to let you guys hear 2 female rappers that are not as known as her
but in my opinion are sick ..
just thought id share with peeps who apriciate good music
and maybe the peeps that never really tried to listen to female rappers

There are quite a few great female emcees aside from Lauryn Hill of the Fugees and the ones already mentioned here I suggest Jean Grae & invincible to anyone interested.

I'm usually hard on female rappers too, so use to hearing about how good they fuck or how much their shoes costs... shits stupid, but Invincible and Jean Grae blew me away.

Invincible's album "Shapeshifters" is one of the best hip hop albums I've heard in years, and Jean Grae has been dropping great album after great album for nearly a decade now, and now that shes linked with Talib Kweli via his label it can only get better.

MC Light is considered by far the best ever and even though female rapperes are not my thing there's some classics here and there, some skills wise some comercially. I think outside of pure skills, Missy is the best ever if we talk about simply for hit records and longevity.
