[Promo Track] I'm an MC

Postby Kez » Mar 1st, '10, 04:55

This track is pretty old, but i haven't posted anything since September so i figured it was about time. This track isn't gonna be on the album for several reasons, but i still considered it decent enough to post here. My album Breakout is pretty near completion, i'm just toying with the final tracklist order; it features mostly original production from both Tash and Big Ax-D, with a couple of Soundclick beats. Let it be known that this track does not represent the themes and concepts i'm going for with the album. But needless to say, here's the track.

Yeah you both right about the low vocals, it was recorded like about 10 months ago and my mic was dying so the recording is really quiet. I may need to bump it up and repost :-k

Hmm... I hate the beat, really really weird, and bad produced.. the idea of the em sample on the hook is good but it was kept very well.... I think the vol of it is too low.... plus lol, there is a part where it doesnt sound good.

your vocals are too low.... I didt enjoy much verse 1 tbh, the beat sucks too much to enjoy it.... Verse 2 came in a little nicer, seems like you mixed this better or with I higher volumer, I dont know why, but I enjoyed it more, plus nice lyrics there man, verse 3.... I think it was not necesarry due to the fact that the beat choice makes it tireing to hear, I like the end of verse 3 tho'... good power.

glad that u didnt kept it for the album. Good Lyrics, amazing top notch flow, ok mixing, wack beat.

can't fucking wait for "Breakout" :worship:

I'll take your word for it since to be honest i don't like this song incredibly myself, it's very average. I just felt like actually releasing something for the first time in half a year

Thanks to all for checkin

Flow worked out pretty well, can't say much about the delivery. Because, due to the mixing, the delivery can sound not as full as it should be. Lyrically it's okay, beat sounds messy but the No Apology hook sounds catchy. Overall I would say it's a good song besides the first verse, the DB is too low to follow your lyrics.

Beat is bad. Sample is bad. Delivery is bad. Flow is boring. Lyrics were boring. Overall it's a boring track cause it has no emotion in it at all and I can see why you didn't put this on the tape. It's just like your rhyming for the fuck of it and its got no feel to it, I don't know why you did it like that but its probably because of the beat. Cause that beat is really bad.

the beat is ok,the hook is awesome, but its obviously lazy sampling.
Your voice has no feeling, some things your saying are angry/deep but you say it in a mellow and bland way.dont make sense.

Best thing on ere was the sample lol

ah don't worry about it lol i completely agree.

god i always pick the most shit songs to release, i'm gonna put a proper one out in a few days d/w :facepalm My problem is that i never want to give away the good shit so i always seem to release songs that i've kicked off the album, which is probably why they always pale in comparison.
