According to Mrs Li of Beijing, her cocker spaniel Treasure is addicted to tobacco.
Mrs Li said: ‘She needs at least two cigarettes a day.

‘I have to light one in the ashtray and let her stay beside to suck the smoke.’
Treasure’s curious nicotine cravings apparently struck when she was just five-months-old.
Mrs Li added: ‘When people smoked she would chase them for the smell and would sometimes even stand up to suck in the smoke.’

As well as smoking, Treasure is also extremely fond of cigarette butts.
Her concerned owner confessed: ‘She eats all the butts, swallows down the tobacco and then spits out the rest.’
Worryingly, a recent visit to the vet showed that Treasure has a shadow on her lungs, and her heart and liver are bigger than standard.
