Before you put the *material* into the paper, fold the bottom end back up to the crease. This creates a great "shelf" of sorts for the stuff.

Lay the paper on a dollar bill (dollar bill laying vertical); then, put your material in and apply pressure to the bottom and back of the paper via the dollar bill. Move your fingers and thumbs to the outermost edges of the bill, and start rolling back and forth. This compacts the material, and puts it into place.

Lick the sticky edge of the paper, and go ahead and roll up the spliff the rest of the way. Viola! You now have a roll-your-own cigarette.

If it's too tight (won't stay lit), massage it a little to loosen up the material.

Or just stick to blunts, whatever.
