Just got back into listening to this album and remember how brilliant it was. I think I appreciate more now as I've got into Masta Ace more and this album, depsite not being as good as A Long Hot Summer & Disposbale Arts, IMO, it still to me is a cornerstone for rap music in general. At the time, this & 36 Chambers were two albums that I felt broke the mould in terms of rap music at the time.

SlaughtaHouse is obviously the track most will remember but I love The Big East and Style Wars.

The beats on here are incredible, hybrid East/West Coast beats made by unknown producers ( and Ace himself ).

The title track is hilarious but my favorite would be Jeep Ass Niguh, he went wild on there

Ive got back into listening to Ace again so I think Ill give this a spin tonight

I dunno, I prefer Disposbale Arts but that's probably becuase I'm a massive concept album fan and I heard DA before SlaughtaHouse.

Such a consistent rapper. 3 albums of high quality. Pity he's not that well known.

+1 I think Ace is probably the most consistent rapper ever, Take a Look Around is a quality album too

Not in shops - HMV are the only shop that do a good selection of hip hop, but the lowest they've gone in terms of non-mainstream is probably KRS-One or Talibe Kweli which says a lot - but I usually buy my CDs of Amazon as you cant get pretty much anything.
