^ the new Relapse 2 went in a new direction late last summer when he first started working with Just Blaze. Then on Shade45 interview in October he already said R2 will be different and more "emotionally driven"

No offence at all, I am not even arguing with you, it's a friendly chit chat ya know. I hope you're right. And you're right the full album leaked like 12 before official release but there were like 5 tracks officially leaked before that. CRACK A BOTTLE, WE MADE YOU, 3.A.M., OLD TIME'S SAKE and INSANE. But that's not even important becasue it was all planned like way before that and there was info coming out all the way in the procces and so far there's nothing for the new alubm. I'm just wondering what's your source and how much reliable it is. And if the album really would drop then when they will confirm it. I have other info that's why I'm curious.

i'm thinking we'll have an official date by first week of April with a single dropping immediately on iTunes instead of the We Made You thing where we had to wait a month. Then video late April.

I think the reason We Made You got a video with it before we ever heard the song, Interscope realized the song would flop by itself and he didn't have any other hit singles (even though I thought Beautiful could have been just that)

It's only a push-back if a date is set and that changes. That never happens with Eminem because he never commits and releases a date until he's positive it's coming out.

Prior to them setting the date for May 2009, it was all rumour and speculation. "Crack a Bottle" was intended for 50's album but they just put it on Relapse because it became a #1 and Em's album was coming first.

Em personally announced the name of the album himself in late 08 and said they were looking at the 1st quarter of 2009 but didn't commit any dates. So no it never got pushed back.

It's entirely possible that Relapse 2 can still come by may.

Paul Rosenberg said on Shade 45 that Relapse would drop for Christmas, you're right they didn't give a release date but they said for Christmas and after that they said first quarter. And then in January 'Crack a bottle' was all over the place.

Crack a bottle was "stolen"!! No one form intercope wanted to leak that song. In the beginig the song leak only with Em vocals!!

i don't really like to speculate...i'd rather just troll haha. But since i'm kinda serious (don't you think compared to some of my pro-Weezy posts?) i do know its dropping May 25. Just like i knew we'd get Relapse 2 Dec 22 (i had that in my sig end of October I believe, sry i can't prove it but i'm sure others noticed it). Off course it was Refill but its was still a new release. He's not gonna release Refill 2 lol so...

...a hint on my source - it has more to do with marketing than people making music

Off course everyone is welcome to bash me if it doesn't come out May 25 (but i hope you give me a break if it comes a June 1 )

May 25th is a very reasonable and believable date, as is June 1. If that is the case though, something official should be coming before April, just to keep the timeline relatively similar to that of Relapse. The anticipation for the album already and the immediate buzz that any news will produce makes it so that there does not need to be another month delay in between announcing the single and the release of it, like there was with WMY. The music video release of it wont be necessary. To me, it seems like the majority of the album is locked in, and he might be doing some last minute recording to try and get the best he can out of slots that havent been locked in yet. Big news could come tomorrow for all we know, there hasnt exactly been alot of forewarning before.

Its definately a smart move, no matter how frustrating it can be. Which is why I think at this point, when the announcement about the album is made, not alot of time needs to pass before the single is released.

voice has a point. I have come across several people who 'claim' they know about info on R2. One guy even claims he has spoken to Em and he told him R2 won't be out until next year. He has never given any proof, though.

yea i could do that:

the marketing plan leaks to expecting retailers before they put up release dates...i know someone who's interning for a certain label (not affiliated with Eminem, closer to Ludacris actually wink wink...but he's a huge Eminem fan so he can find out..)...he has access we don't.
