Yeah it's pretty obvious, and it's on purpose. It's pretty common for diss songs even if they use lines from songs of the people they diss. In this case Em gives props to Nas acknowledging 'Ehter'. He acknowledged Pac's 'Hail Mary' the same way, some lines were identical.

Em and Nas have a gigantic respect for each other and have made it clear many times over the years. Matter a fact the hardest line on 'Ether' is: Eminen murdered you on your own shit
