Let me introduce... Dr. Dre!

Postby Norway kills » Mar 19th, '10, 22:58

Dr. Dre will appear on Relapse 2. Do you think he will make the album better or worse? Do you usually like the Dr. Dre tracks? I'm talking about songs like Encore, Hell Breaks Loose, Old Time's Sake, Say What You Say and Crack a Bottle. I don't mind him, as long as he doesn't take over the album.

The next topic will be all about... 50 CENT!!

Em and Dre, like Em and 50, has become a tradition in all of his albums. The only problem is that the songs tend to be some half-gangster, half-rubbish songs that never become singles.

Unless it has a good concept behind it then I'd rather Dre wasnt on the album. There songs have got worse as the years have gone on - although Hell Breaks Loose was good.

And if 50's on there then theres gunna be one verse I'll skip.

The problem as I see it, is that even though Dre and Eminem are in the same game, they have completely different themes in their raps. Dre is always like "I made this game", while Em can be both reflected and psychotic, caring and hating. When they make something together, they always do it Dre's way, and that doesn't fit Em.

Thank you! This song is so much hated on this forum. Dont really know why, I think its fuckin awesome. Except Em's part in the third verse, which sucked big time. Everything else is great.

Yeah I think he will be on it, he's been on every Em album so far.

So yes I think he will be but no I don't want him to be and I think it will detract not enhance. Unless Em comes up with some sort of story concept.

After "Guilty Conscience" it's just been the good cop / bad cop thing each time with them both emphasizing why Dre is still relevant despite... 11 years without a solo album lmao. And despite the fact those are Em's words coming out of Dre's mouth. Very odd.

Every album it's always fucking 50, Dre and D12 now.
50 - We've heard enough of. He shoves his ugly mug on any track he can fucking get on, he's fucked up multiple Em tracks now and I don't want his shitty gangsta mumbling on a potential classic.

Dre - No need for another 'wild' party track with blunts, blood and taking over the rap game. We've got enough. Even so, even with a great concept, I'd rather not hear Dre on it, I want Em to do different shit, haven't we heard enough of him.

D12 - Em does albums separately with D12 so I don't see why they have to be on his solo shit too. It's always a cliche' D12 track that may as well be on a D12 album anyway.

I mean Em supposedly did a track with Rakim for The Eminem Show. Why not put that on there FFS. Just think, The Eminem Show could of been completely flawless with just... Two or three features being from Rakim and Nas. And maybe another.

Instead he chucks has-beens or bums on his shit. I mean T.I I don't mind but still there's so many better! He's a legend in rap, everybody wants to work with him, he could get anybody and instead he just moves inside his limited little circle.

Imagine like... Royce, Tech N9 and Nas on R2. Instead I think we know who we're getting. And god help us all if it's fucking Ca$his and co. Just don't understand what Em's thinking with features. Such a waste. Encore too... Stat Quo etc. OMG. Why.

Em did a track with Rakim?! Wow. I knew they were friends but where did you hear that?

But I agree that Em needs to branch out with his collabs. It's predicatable and boring what he's gunna go with on albums. I'd love to hear Nas, Masta Ace, Chino XL & Royce on R2. That would be crazy. But I know 100% it's not gunna happen.

I read it an interview posted not long ago with Dre back in like 2002 before the release of The Eminem Show. Mentioned a few tracks Em had did that didn't end up on there.

Fuck knows what Em must have in the vault. I hope he's saving it all for a rainy day and not just banishing it to secrecy for fucking ever. And yeah I would like to hear Nas, Masta Ace and Royce. Not Chino though. He's a cock.

Nah I like Chino, although he would have suited Em back in 2000/2001ish when the Slim Shady persona was at it's peak.

We won't hear those songs until Em retires or dies.

I remember Stat Quo saying he was gunna leak all Em & Dre tracks - over 200 or something were in a vault. Obviouslty that was bullshit, as if Stat would have access to all of Em's tracks lmao. But still, that woulda been fucking class if it had happened.

Dre deserves to be on all Eminem albums and i have no problem with him on any of them cause i like him as a rapper and believe him and Eminem work well together.

To the person complaining that its just Dre bragging etc on the songs its Eminem writing his lyrics which is basically him paying homage to the man that made him as big as he is.
