I looked for it and didn't see it and that's why I posted it. But I added some stuff I knew from before anyway. I've been told that like a week ago but didn't take it for granted. People told me EM tries to bring them on Shady really hard but there's a lotta shitty politics going on.

Think of Shady Records as a military base, and think of each artist in it as having a ranging degree of destructive capability based on their talent.
If Shady Records is going to become a superpower, then naturally, they'll have to have enough firepower stockpiled.
Right now they have one nitrogen bomb... and a bunch of duds.
That won't get it done.

Well that's the problem, skills are less important tnan ever nowadays and it really is all business untill one day only Soulja Boy kinda rappers would get signed. All 4 of SH are dope MC's of a dying breed. U r right they can collaborate now but just for a song or two, but on Shady they'd do like a whole album and if EM's on like 4-5 songs it's gonna be a masterpiece. It's not really important if they got platinum, their popularity will go crazy anyway and their career as a group would go in totally different direction.

Well think about if Shady's fucked up, what other label isn't. The whole game is fucked up saleswise and Shady is one of the few labels that can go through it. All the MC's that you mentioned got dropped exactly cuz hip hip is not about skills but sales anymore on the major labels. SH has a huge mainstream folloowing on the undergournd, you're right they don't have one on a comercial level but that still can't take away anything of their skills and buzz. If they got signed to Shady I'm sure they'll do a big album even if it doesn't sell well, they'd still get to a monumental status and would be able to go anywhere in the world and be recognized and get that money. I don't even think of sales when I hope SH to get on Shady, I think of the possibility of that incredible album. The only problem for which you're totally right is how long would we wait for that album if they got signed and if even Interscope let it go out.

And Em is not god, so he will collaborate with them in some songs, so what, he can do it now too, I don't see why he has to have them in his label.

Slaughterhouse already have a fan base though and Royce is a hugely popular emcee. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be a stupid move on Slaughterhouse's part becuase of SR's record with putting out albums. But they've got experience, TALENT and a fan base so it's pretty different to the likes of Stat, Cashis & Bobby Creek.

I told you sales ways you might be right but I didn't even mean that. I mean it's not even me or Em's fans, obviously Em wants to sign them and everyone knows he's a true MC's and would awlays recognize true MC's. We are all sure that Jimmy Iovinne won't care who Em signs if he brinds on money, I mean Jimmy has fucking Soulja Boy on his Interscope roster. But Em doesn't care about that, EM only signs real MC's. Too bad it hardly meterializes cuz of the sales and politics. Think about it, Interscope let go Obie and Busta but re did Soulja boy's contract, ya know how it goes down.
I'm telling you I'd love to have that Em and SH album cuz it'd be like pure hip hop, we can't be sure it'd sell well but it'd definitely go golden plus it'd definitely hit worldwide.

second, Souja Boy is very profitable, his album went platinum, his singles did better than Em, he even got #1, now that's the kind of profit Jimmy wants, not lyrical mcs, it's quite obvious that any company will chose Souja Boy over SH anyday cuz he makes catchy music, still young and appear to mainstream.
and pure hiphop don't sell anymore, this is quite obvious too, to sell these days you either have to be a big name or have hits all over radio, which Sh is not capable to do.

my point is, sign with Shady or not, SH's situtation won't change much, maybe even worse because they may not even get an album out. Shady is nothing without the push from the big company (Interscope), that's why a lot of people left.

But I agree that Em's taste has been shocking since 2002/3ish. Since he signed Fiddy really. He could sign Royce if he wanted, even Redman said he'd jump ship to come to SR without hesitation. Why Em doesnt sign either of them two is ridiculous.
