it's more entertaining to watch, it has more prestigious awards involved in it, it's harder control a ball with your feet than it is to run about and throwing an egg shaped ball, it's more popular, there are more teams in the world, there are more leagues, the good goals have more of a "wow" factor to them, it's more skilful, there is more money involved in it, it has a WORLD cup. enough said.

Look if the WHOLE WORLD is anticipating this years Fifa World Cup then I think it doesn't matter what America likes, cause Soccer is already generations ahead of American Football and any other football in general.
