ur rapping way to slow for the beat, you need to speed up to stay on beat..that's basically the biggest problem..ur delivery could be improved, you don't quite sound right but that comes with experience.

p.s. check Blazin if you like

Coleon, everyone else is saying that your emotion is lacking.
But to be honest, your writing style is very cold hearted and lifeless (in a good (awesome) way), so I thought the lack of emotion WAS the emotion.
I'd recommend keeping your almost nihilistic, yet paradoxically complex flow.
It sounds badass as it is, and I think forcing an emotion that doesn't suit your chilling style of writing would ruin it.
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

How much $$$ do you think it'd run me to get the essentials?

About $1200 for a decent set up.

On topic: The beat was sick.. Your flow needs a little work and your delivery definitely is being held back. Pump yourself up, don't talk in to the mic lol.

O/A I liked the lyrics and the mixing was decent. Keep elevating dude

lulz @ $1200....i spent $250 maybe and i think we can all agree my quality's clean.....

lulz @ that...i have a 20 dollar mic from radioshack...hooked in thru a mic slot (not even USB)

so i listened to it again bro and i gotta say the first four bars are wack but then after that u just finally find the right rhythm and u nail it... so i would suggest fixing up the syllables on the first 4 bars (about)

it's just a practice 16, but thanks anyway bro

I'm just prepping my fundamentals to make listenable stuff :y:

and do you record in mono or stereo?

i understand, that's important but even then when you keep redoing one song, u tend to realize what u did wrong and not make the same mistakes again...so yeah

but i record in mono..i think all mics record in mono but i could be wrong.

I wouldn't watch a tutorial that tells you what you need to input...It's better to understand the functions of mixing. Cause every single song will need diff things, sometimes you have to EQ it, other times you might not need to...the point is, don't always follow the same guidelines, you have to adjust depending on the recording. So that's why I'd say find a tutorial that would teach you what compression is, what reverb is, what eq is...not one that will tell you what to put in the compression..naw'mean?

believe me bro it's wroth it... I only have a 25 dollar mic, no pop filter, no mixter, no nothing...my mic even plugs in thru the mic input and not a usb...and you've heard my quality...mixing is underrated.

I think he said his was similiar to Chambers' in the mixing thread

pretty much just know what you're doing and play it by ear

umm yeah, i mean i'm not really that great at explaining shit so my tutorial would be awful..but the best advice i can give you is just listen to it and think to yourself; what it's missing?

If it's mixing some lower ends, you might wanna up the EQ at 300-500 frequencies or lower the upper frequencies. If some parts of the vocals are way louder than others, compression can help keep it at an even line, but you could also compress it too much and it'll sound to muddy... It's just listening and adjusting...You don't start a song and know exactly how to mix it, you'll need to listen and then adjust...also another advice i can give you is don't mix for longer than 10 min periods...because your ears also adjust and they might just get used to ur sound...
