That is true, refering to a bar as being the term used to define a specific amount of notes in said piece. I was refering to a written bar, let's say you have a beat with a snare and a kick. Well, if the emcee in question decides to end his rhymes on the snare, then the period of time between his last rhyme that hit the snare, and the present rhyme that hits the snare would be a bar.

Yes, I never claimed it to be an accepted music theory. It is what Hip Hop defines as being a bar, there is no Hip Hop music guide book that explains all these terms. However, as far as I know, this is what a bar is in rap music.
