Unless he waited till he was 26 to hit puberty, obviously he could.

No he doesn't...not sure what you're listening to.

well, no. his drug addiction has permanently changed his voice, it seems. he can't sound like he did on the SSLP.

Well, if that's the case... thank God I'll never have to hear that little kid voice from him again.
I was worried he'd try to resurrect it.

It certainly changed his voice while he was on the drugs...but I mean, his voice underwent pretty huge change from 1999-2002. By 2001 or so his voice had deepened quite a bit...not sure if it was a result of all the screaming and shit from the tours or the intensity of those 2000-2001 verses themselves.

His Relapse-era voice just seems to be his 2002 one plus the wear and tear of 7+ years.

No. I'm sure his vocal chords are perfectly healthy.

The reason singers like, say, Ozzy Osborne sound worse than they used to is because drug abuse damaged their brain.
It has nothing to do with drugs diminishing vocal range or whatever.

Em's voice is certainty not affected by drugs nowadays.

He actually did it for a little bit on Shade45 back when Relapse just came out. I don't know if he could sustain it for a whole song though.

He sounds pretty close to it on Elevator, Insane, Underground, Deja Vu to me. On Elevator, if you listen to the chorus, you can hear his old voice as one of the layers. I like his voice now.

Of course, just listen to Insane, My Mom (kind of, even though he does accents in that it's to represent other people), Underground, Elevator...accents don't just vanish lol he's just trying to go in a new direction with unfortunately some people don't like. Hopefully on R2 he chooses to go back to something similiar.

Good ear. :y:

He does do multiple vocal recordings, and layer them. They might be edited, but he can probably still do close to the SSLP voice if he really tried.

I hope he doesn't try that horrid voice again :zipped:
