eminem says big news is coming. fans start expecting R2 news, then it turns out to be slaughterhouse related instead. boom slaughterhouse gets instant profile. they wouldn't need a single or an album, he would essentially be using R2 hype to promote slaughterhouse.

i hope it is R2 news and the slaughterhouse thing is just a coincidence, but i doubt it.

i mean royce is saying "if you like the white boy, you might as well start liking me, because any time you see him, you're going to see me too", the day after eminem tweets that big news is coming? add in all that stuff that came out about budden and joell's problems with their labels last week and it just seems like to much of a coincidence.

This whole 'Big News Coming. Soon' thing - is a VERY smart move by Interscope/Eminem. See how easily it builds up hype & anticipation? This news has been published/posted on practically every news site - including Billboard.com. My guess is that this is the very first step in the promotion/marketing plan. If you think about it - now, all news sites and forums (etc.) are patiently awaiting news - so when Em finally decides to announce the release date/info, it will be posted EVERYWHERE and generate a mass publicity (which might be needed, to let the general public know that this new album won’t be the same as R1).
