Any Clipse fans?

Postby MikeNUFC » Apr 1st, '10, 21:25

I've never really heard them mentioned on here so I was wondering if anyone is into them?

I remember first hearing Hell Hath No Fury and just being in awe of it for weeks. One of the greatest rap albums of all time, let alone the decade, IMO and shits all over Lord Willin'. The difference in quality between these two albums is mammoth.

I thought they went a bit too commercial (or maybe just more upbeat) on TIl The Casket Drops but it was still an enjoyable album.

Definitely one of the best rap duos, behind OutKast and Mobb Deep.

if you say it is a great album I guess I'm going to have to check it out. What's his subject matter like? I'm pretty picky and my view of Clipse is not a favorable one.

One of my favorite artists in hip hop :worship:
So many quotable lines, they are insane with their coke references!

Hell Hath is becoming one of my most played albums, I actually hated it first, but now, I think its amazing :y:

I really like Lord Willin', love the production on it and theirs no filler imo ( well maybe Ma I dont Love Her  ), but Malice & Pusha are both so much better on Hell Hath

We Got it 4 Cheap vol.2 is well worth checking out too, great beat selection & Mailce + Pusha rip it

Till the Casket drops is one of my favorite albums of 09, has a few duds on it, but most of the album is banging to me :b:

Btw, The Neptunes seriously take their production to a new level when their working with these guys
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Theres two of 'em.

A lot of the subject matter on HHNF is drug-dealing, paranoia sort of thing. I'd definitely DL it, I mean if you dont like it then delete. Aint gunna cost you anything

Literally just about to type that. Hell Hath No Fury probably has the best production on any hip hop album.

And I'll check out We Got It Cheap Vol. II.

^Yup the production on Hell Hath is unbelievable, never before or since have I heard production like that, filthy, dark beats & atmosphere but its so clean, Im putting on this album now :8)

You definetly wont be dissapointed with W.G.I.4.C vol.2, Malice & Pusha are as good on there as they are on Hell Hath, if you need a link just ask :y:
