I'm writing a book right now though and will aim at getting it published and becoming a serious author as a side-profession. That feels like the 'right' thing to me to exercise my... Need for writing.

Interesting (no sarcasm). I know what view your gunna take but what sort of way are you going about it, as there are so many books on religion. I mean, how are you gunna make it stand out?

There actually aren't many books on religion from an atheist standpoint. Back in the day religion bullied its way into society and every other aspect of life, ruining everything in its path.

But in the last decade in particular, from an authors perspective, there's been a big pushback. But there's only been a handful of notorious books from atheists.

The End of Faith (2004)
Letter to a Christian Nation (2006)
The God Delusion (2006)
God is Not Great (2007)

And a couple more. But we're still in the early days of atheist books emerging. So I really don't have to worry about outsmarting what's been done. IN terms of originality, as long as you're a good writer you will still appear very original at this stage.

I'm just going to make it as comprehensive and compelling as possible. Also, no book yet as totally ripped it apart from top to bottom. Dawkins came almost entirely from a scientific view and Hitchens almost entirely political and social.

So I'm going to completely ravish it. Its history, the psychology, its effect on society, its evolution, the criticism, its current state in modern cultures, EVERYTHING. And of course write objectively but also, personally. Nothing makes you stand out more than being an individualist.

My writing style is very much... How I think. Very literal and analytic. But I'll also make sure it's witty and thought-provoking. It's a big job don't get me wrong. After the first draft I'm going to mull over it repeatedly, constantly revising and perfecting it.

I can't put my full attention on it right now as I'm busy with my business but I'm slowly stock-piling material. When I can fully go at it I won't stop.

Oh no doubt - Part of my aim is to tackle every conceivable argument from both sides, tear it to shreds like a Lion ravishing a dead Zebra.

At one point I was going to call it The Atheist Manifesto and make it a very aggressive, conceptual, political book just for the sake of controversy lmao. But I'm off that now.

I've always had a strong knack for English though, don't know why. Some brains are just more tailored towards certain things. Maths, English, certain thought patterns.
