its understandable though, when one week its "a pinch of salt away from completion" and then the next theres "a lot of work to do".

A pinch of salt away from completion could mean anything...recording, track elimination, mixing, mastering,,,I think people took that comment as the complete album is ready to go...doesnt mean it isnt finished...theirs a lot of work post recording...

Why does he owe us a double album, because the album was pushed back once and not a lot of news is coming out? I'm sure he has his reasons. Yes, I'd love a double album, and I'd love news, but he really doesn't "owe" us a double album for being secretive and pushing back his work.

For all we know he doesn't want to get all caught up with the media bugging him and asking him questions while he's in the zone writing and recording stuff, which is why he's been hesitant on any solid news.

Just Blaze seems to be excited about the record, let's hope we'll have the same reaction!

As for the "still got a lot of work to do" statement, I don't think it's anything to be worried about - I mean, the recording part is almost surely done. If you think about it, according to reports Just Blaze was going back to Detroit (or w/e) to wrap up R2, for a couple of weeks ago. Now, today, Just Blaze confirms that he's been working with Em for the last 2.5 weeks! "Still got a lot of work to do" might be the finishing touches and mixing/mastering etc... Even if there was as much as 4-6 weeks left of work - a June release is still very possible (manufacturing/shipping to stores takes what? 3-4 weeks).

Time will tell...

I'd say that's absolutely a reason to owe the fans a classic double album people will still bump 100 years from now.

Double albums are overkill and in 99% of cases would have been much better as a single album.

I don't mind about it getting pushed back either, just means there working to make it crazy. :y:

Frustrating, but as long as the album is being perfected, then whatever.

Annoying that we are hearing different quotes though and I know Em's a perfectionist so let's hope he doesnt just keeping making more and more tracks, to try and make it better and better. Cus eventually, it'll get worse.

The White Album. 1967. The Beatles. Perfection. 2 Discs.

oh come on. you know full well that a "pinch of salt away" and "still a lot of work to do" are contrasting statements. don't bother trying to give an alternative interpretation, its really just pointless.

Fuck a double album. I want 15 tracks of killer material. Not 30 tracks of 20 great and 10 okay-ish. I want the best of what he's done; not the best and some extras that I made at the end.

I think it's still somewhat hopeful the Eminem twitter is about Relapse 2. I can't see Paul updating it for anything else when he knows we're all dying for information. :zipped:

The thing is, though, from what we've heard from those who've heard it, there is no "okay-ish" material.

I feel that way too. 20 tracks like his others will be fine with me

So, you expect Mr Porter, JB and Alchemist to come out and say "some of its okay, nothing special"? OF course there not, whether they think that or not. There working on the album, there gunna want to praise it as much as possible., regardless of quality.

All I'm saying is, Em knows that the album will have a theme and he'll pick 15 tracks accordingly. 30 tracks and your guareented at quite a fe songs that dont suit the theme whatsover.
