There's a chance. We're not "expecting" this to happen, we're just saying it would be cool if it did.

I bet no one expected Relapse 2 to be delayed, and he'd drop a re-release of Relapse with 7 new songs.

Relapse 2 wouldn't come out at fall 2009 was so obvious... Who the fuck announces the next album date before releasing the previous one... Refill was unexpected but it wasen't something that great either to call it a great unexpected surprise. Well if ur saying it would be cool then it would even be cool Eminem collaborated with Nas, Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique and stuff... Well not gonna happen.

What are you talking about. Relapse 2 was completed by the same time. He delivered both albums to Interscope. People have this misconception he was still working on it.

It's just that he got back in the studio, partially due to the fact he's always in there making music anyway and he just got more up to speed and OBVIOUSLY due to the mixed reaction of R1 (IMO), changed direction.

So that's why he announced two. It's not that he did Relapse 1 then thought... Hmm, I could make a sequel to this. It was that he did about 3 albums worth of material with Dre in these non-stop recording sessions, then they got it down to two albums - All the best stuff and wa'la = Relapse 1 and Relapse 2.

Then he changed direction and I think he had another ready to go in November since he came out of the shadows, did a few big interviews about R2, Mr. Porter did a big in-depth thing about it, praising it... Talking about it etc.

Mr. Porter also replied to my friend on Twitter back in like October saying the 1st single would be in November. Then he later posted "Sorry we missed the Dec date but this album is IN-FUCKING-CREDIBLE" or something like that.

Em actually even said it was complete in November and they were mixing it. And that it would only change if he thought of more shit in the mixing process. So obviously, they had it ready to go in November and were gonna aim for a Christmas release.

But then Em started recording more new shit so put out Refill for fans until R2 in 010. It's actually very obvious that this hasn't been an as per-usual delay, it's been a very situation-driven set of events that have fucked it up. Well, I say fucked it up... Probably made it a lot better. But... Fucked it up in the sense we've had to wait so bastard long now.

Also, it's not an actual delay, in reality, unless they put a date on it. None of his albums have been pushed back because he only puts a date on it when he's 100%.

I was thinking, sure a release date would be great, but what if Em just came out and said that he's gonna release R2 as a double album, or as 2 separate albums.(Relapse 2.1, 2.2? )

One would be the original R2 material, and the other would be the new stuff.

Just a thought, what do you think? Would you like that?

I think that would be really great, but I'm pretty sure he threw away all of his old material by now, I mean if he is not going to release any then why keep it..... But I agree

Refill was the BEST of the original Relapse 2... The rest of that album can't be anything special.

I'd rather just get an all killer single album rather than have to wade through a pile of "ok" tracks to find the gems.
