You can't be a vet because you've been here for a certain amount of time. I joined this place June 2006 and i wasn't vetted until late 2008. It's all about how well-liked you are over the entire forum, hence people vote for you. It's not like you're missing anything, unless you are desperate to get into the Vets Section in fear that the vets are making fun of you behind the scenes.

As I said this thread wasn't a desperate plead(JMG) it was a question. Because, I know I'll be vetted IF AT ALL after a couple of years. So asking now would be a waste(not that I would ask).

No, but I'd like a signal that the work that goes into my posts (yes, it actually takes a conscientious effort to make all of my posts either informative, interesting, thoughtful, or amusing) is appreciated.
Plus, I seem to have revolutionized the "And You Are" section.
And dR3 is by far the most active poster on here, while also being one of the best.
That can't go unrewarded.
