Recovery is going to be an absolute masterpiece.

I really feel like, if Eminem's albums were films, Relapse would have been the strange little arthouse flick. That's really what it is. It's not nearly as mainstream as The Eminem Show or Encore. It's art horror like Lars Von Trier's Antichrist.

When Relapse leaked, I peeped out a few songs before I went home. I was encouraged by what I heard.

Then...I went home. Sparked up the proper aromatherapy incense...and I listened to the album, front to back.

I remember having an immense feeling of "content" as Underground drew to a close. That, followed by a familiar smile as Ken Kaniff showed up, like an old friend I hadn't seen in a while.

Relapse is a solid album. Really, a strange concept, but very well done if you look at it properly.

I can listen to all the songs and do for the most part. I still remember delinquent sending me each file as he got it when it all leaked, and hearing in bagpipes "I'll tittie fuck you till your breat nipple flesh tickles my testicales" and thinking...this dudes lyrically on his game, and listening now to other songs seeing how insane he rhymed on this album just blows my mind.

Must be the ganja and same song & dance are still my favorites, but this a great album of music to listen to imo because it's so diverse in so many ways.

I think it'll be one that takes time to appreciate, but I still think Recovery will be he his best album ever, but that's another topic...

Love it from the moment it leaked. Beautiful was the only track I originally didnt like and I'm still not a fan but the rest of the album is straight fire. Play-back ability is up there with any of his other albums and it's got better to me as time progresses. I can still listen to SWA with awe.

Encore sold more than Illmatic but Illmatic is a million times better to me.
