Meaning of Recovery

Why would Em name this Recovery? does he think that relapse was bad and he wants people to give him another chance? if he never fell off he shouldnt have to recover imo

Recovery has a dual meaning: A "recovery" in the medicinal sense as well as in the creative sense.

I think you have a point... He either thinks that Relapse wasn't as good as he first thought OR he thinks that this album is that much better than Relapse.. he wouldn't have changed the name if he didn't think one of these two

Recovery from his Relapse.
Not in the album's sense but in his actual life sense. He recovered from his drug problems and is relapse.

Yeah I came to the same conclusion, I think that drugs will still be a theme in the album somehow.
