slimsoxshady wrote:just look at the history of Em on Dre beats...it's almost exclusively slim shady songs aside from Encore, Say What You Say, and maybe Deja Vu

a low dosage of Dre is gonna keep slim shady caged up for Recovery

and thats no hate either, i liked Relapse...i just want something different this time

The theme of Recovery is going to be different so it's hard to imagine beats like Insane on it.

Personally I wouldn't mind if Just Blaze produced most of the album. The innovative way he fusions hip hop and jazz is stunning.

Also DJ Khalil is quite exciting. He makes some great "party bangers" that doesn't sound corny. His recent production for Nas was fire!

Always the same with gigantic drums and loops? Give some examples.

Yeah but like I said, Dre does the same thing everytime. There's variants of sound with his production but it's the same type of beat everytime. He's not very creative, he's just meticulous and defined.

And Em was only used to working with Dre. Probably why as soon as he got the sniff of some different beats he went wild with it.

And I'm not blaming a lack of creativity on Dre. But Dre's beats certainly don't help. I'm not saying EM don't like them or it's not his fault but Em gets his ideas from beats. He listens to what the beat says to him and due to Dre's limitations, it's no surprise he comes up with the same old every time.

And some examples? Try every beat he's ever made. "Bagpipes..." listen to how much he nearly drowns Em out. Every time. Em makes all types of beats and creates melodies, strings, pianos, it's a big range of music. With Dre, you get them fucking gigantor drums every time.

Wow, I never realized how few classics he produced!
There's only 3 truly exceptional songs, in my opinion, produced by Dre:
"Evil Deeds", "Déjà Vu", and "Stay Wide Awake".

Em definitely needs to stay the fuck away from Dre beats. I didn't realize how negatively they were affecting him.

Exaaacccttllly. People bang on about Dre. If you look at Em's best work, it's all been produced by himself and the Bass Bros.

Dre's beats produce boring results with his creativity. Thank fuck he got outside producers this time.

I would add Remember Me to that list.

I still believe, along with The Neptunes' production on Clipse's Hell Hath No Fury , that The Chronic is the best produced rap album ever. But I agree, Relapse's production was boring. Solid but boring.
