Almost every word in those two line rhymes. That's pretty much the definition of creativity in my opinion.

There's nothin' creative about "i'll make it flow perfect even if it doesn't make complete sense, and shock the fuckers", even though it's entertaining.

It's like, there's no other reason he'd put "Insanity, can it be vanity" apart from the 2 words rhymin'. It's not like he had a message or line in his head and was like, "hey! they rhyme too! :o "

That whole song is sick for him havin' that vocab and that flow, but he's not sayin' anything witty in the slightest.

I think I smell the scent of a placenta
I enter central park it's dark it's winter in december
I see my target with my car and park it and approach a tender
Young girl by the name of Brenda and I pretend to befriend her
Sit down beside her like a spider hi there girl you mighta
Heard of me before see whore your the kinda girl that I'd
Assault and rape and figure why not try to make your pussy wida
Fuck you with an umbrella then open it up while the shit's inside ya

^So none of that is creative or witty? :confusion:

You make it sound like he just came up with those two lines within seconds. Who says there's no point behind the word vanity? Why does it have to be palpable? If you listen to some of the songs on Common's Be, he wants the listener do the thinking instead of telling what it's all about.

Insanity
can it be
vanity
where is
humanity
in having
twisted
fantasy
amputy

= Crazy multisyllabic rhyming.
