Razor and cream for a closer shave?

I need a razor and shaving cream that will give me the closest shave as possible without spending a ton of money or with damaging chemicals. any suggestions please?

gillete gave me red pimples and spots and dried my skin. i bought edge two weeks ago, it doesnt do anything, but it doesn't cut as well as gillete did.

i use the gillete fusion razor and Nivea for men shaving gel. and Nivea for men after shave. shit's beast :y:
