You know what the best form of promotion is? Mouth-to-mouth. All Eminem needed was to announce the album title and the release date, everything else is now done by his fans. Every single internet blog/forum that has a connection to Hip Hop or just music has already been infiltrated by Eminem fans that are constantly babeling about Recovery.

Eminem couldn't wish a better marketing strategy than that, basically, that's what his strategy always was. Letting the people do the work for him, by keeping things as secretly as possible, people are forced to utilize their imagination because they're curious about his upcoming album. Especially his fans.

That actually bad promo cuz outside of his core fanbase & some hip-hop sites, no one knows he's having album out. This 'keep infomation in secret to make people curious' plan may work if this was the album after TES, but after 2 disappointed albums back to back, people don't check on his new stuff like they used to anymore. I hope they get it right this time with the right choice of first single and big promo, otherwise...

After dropping Relapse he doesn't really need to do that right now. By showing up on Drake's song, Wayne's song an B.o.B's song he's now back in people's minds.

I think em would prefer not To do any promo interviews at all, cuz I don't think he cares how many albums he sells. It's not like he really needs themoney. Interscope, on the other hand, wants him to sell as many records as possible to get that $. So, I think interscope push him to do promos. It just seems like he doesn't like interviews and does the the bare minimum.

Promo for Relapse was poor from Interscope in terms of adverts etc but it wasnt an easy album to promote. Recovery will be easy - once he has a single out he'll do interviews etc to get himself back in peopels mind.
