It seems everyone else is too busy orgasming over the fact that he's not using an accent anymore and tongue-bathing him for subpar verses. He's all over the place...so much so that I still have a strong hunch he may have relapsed.

If Recovery is lyrically similar to what we've heard from him the past several months, it's going to be awful. Well, awful for those of us who know why Eminem was ever good in the first place.

WOW i didnt see that coming .....ok i admit his recent songs are not his best but seriously..he's not gunna release his best shit for someone elses album. Hes gunna keep the best on Recovery. Even his, as you call, "subpar verses" killed some of the most recognized emcees of recent in the game! No he hasnt dropped off. He had some really good songs on relapse(of course) but some that just arent... . overall it was good but hes still cleanin his skills up. but he is starting to come out a lil more from his usual place so he can make everyone realize how he compares to the rappers most (musical challenged) people consider "the best and illest rappers alive".



In my opinion he already knows his fans will buy any of his songs he releases, and hes going to try to make an even bigger fanbase(believe it or not). Because a lot of teens now days just listen to whats popular or their friends think is cool (which is gay)and i think hes tryin to reach out and put his name up to theirs and show them where the real "bar" is and how below some others are. But he wont be a sellout... This is a strech but hes not as commercial as lil wayne or luda but imagine how big he would be if he was .... But the point is no he hasnt fallen off ,but we'll see when recovery is released.

I agree. While I like the personal content, and use of emotion in his voice, I was not overly impressed with the lyrics and wasn't a huge fan of his flow in Airplanes 2. On some recent songs like this and Careful What You Wish For, I feel like he is trying to emulate 2Pac's flow in the way that he stretches certain words and I don't really like it.

Shady is back better than ever (the chedda shredda, the greater ).

Lyrically he's never been more precise. And we have heard Forever/DTW/AP2. He's also putting a TON of time into Recovery. There's not a doubt in my mind that accent or not, he's going to be much more evolved and experienced than ever.

Relapse has better and more complicated lyrics than The Eminem Show, but which album is better - Relapse or TES??
So the lyrics are important but it's not all!!!
And even in the "non-lyricistic" songs, Em's rhymes better than the others commercial rappers nowadayz
