he used the accent to make his lyrics more complicated and have better flows , he can bend words with it and make words rhyme that normally dont using it. if he dont use the accent of course his flows and lyricism aint gonna be half as good. common sense

The overall theme is way more important than the actuall lyrics. Before Relpase he had songs like Touchdown, and I still can't figure out what Touchdown is really about. Either it is too deep for me, our the whole thing is just bullshit.
Norway, blah, blah, murder, blah, blah, blood.

Oh Jesus, another whiner after Em gave us 3 brilliant features since Relapse. How has what he has put out been bad lyrically? Coz if you wanna play that game, you can write some of the "shit" lyrics he has done since Relapse and I'll write some of the even worse lyrics that are in Relapse. Upto you.

And just to add, his verse from Airplanes Part II have some of the BEST lyrics from him that I've heard in a long time.

So we aint allowed to criticize his music at all without being called a "whiner"?, I'd rather listen and point out the slight negatives rather than be a happy clapper that will swallow anything like you

I like eminems current flow better than Relapse, but I don't agree with you trying to make others looks stupid by saying "I can show you even worse lyrics on Relapse" get a grip and allow people to have their opinion, all people do is discuss how it can maybe be better next time, I understand where people are comming from with "he does that, people moan, he does this, people moan" but people will ALWAYS moan, get over it, think of Em as your sports team, even if you get a good result and "win" you still need to talk about the performance (positives/negatives) to see what you can carry forward to the next game/song.

C'mon man, you can't be serious...

"Post-Relapse" :facepalm
Relapse is not even a year old, wtf you talking about Post-Relapse. You could use post-Relapse in about 20 years or something. See, now we can talk about a Post-TES, see what I'm meaning?

But let's pretend, post-relapse is not good. You thought Encore was a lyrical murder? Nah, c'mon. Relapse is so much better than Encore or even The Re-up. Rhyming on Relapse was a master-piece. Tell me which rapper can rhyme Pizza with Freezer?

And what, how many songs came out after Relapse? 3? C'mon, wait just untill Recovery. When Recovery will leak, I'm sure you will post a topic with "wow eminem is so incredible, lyrics are insane, i'm going crazy and beats are just magnificent".

PLUS Recovery got a whole different direction than Relapse, so I would say:

Just wait some years and make than a conclusion.

I actaully prefer his Relapse stuff to his last 3 verses and in some respects I tend to agree with this topic.

I do think DTW, Forever and Airplanes 2 have all been hyped out of proportion. Especially Drop The World. Rhyming 'in' with 'in'? I mean they're good verses but rhyme-wise, for his standards, I do think there slightly off. His delivery is back to his best, though.

Content is vital of course but he managed to rhyme great and have good content on older songs and albums. I'm still expecting a lot from Recovery but a whole album of so-so rhymes like the ones he's put out would be kinda dissapointing. I'm all for a few but I wanna hear some lyrical masterpieces, with that incredible delivery he has been shwoing.

It seems everyone else is too busy orgasming over the fact that he's not using an accent anymore and tongue-bathing him for subpar verses. He's all over the place...so much so that I still have a strong hunch he may have relapsed.

If Recovery is lyrically similar to what we've heard from him the past several months, it's going to be awful. Well, awful for those of us who know why Eminem was ever good in the first place.

Heaven help me if Recovery's songs are full of the same stuff as Relapse.

I agree with this guy. We've got too concerned about getting away from the bad than aiming for the best. I come on here and get so over excited about everything small and decent, then go on a general board like Boxden where there's bigger variation of rap fans, and i realise how much Em has fallen off in the general scale of things and why people still doubt him.

It's like Em started at Level 3, went down to level 1, and now he's at level 2 we're getting excited cos he's not at his low point anymore.

Not saying that he won't come with it on Recovery.. But there's alot of dick riding on here that pushes away realism.

Yeah but at the same time there are a lot of racist tw*ts on Boxden who just hate on him for no reason, but I can agree with this :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To me the delivery on the 3 features is great but you can tell the incredible rhyming from Relapse diminished a bit, the overall feel of the thread seems to be...just wait for Reovery, if people want to get hyped then good for them (I'm one of them, can't wait to see what the album is like) but if it fails miserably please don't then complain xD.

I personally quite liked Relapse though so I can't exactly complain and I'm sure I will like Recovery as long as it's different from the rest of his albums . I appreciate the work of anyone who puts as much time and effort in as some musicians do :)
