Drake has all this crazy hype before coming out with his first album. But was Eminem as popular before releasing his first album or no?

Drake's hype is falling steadily ever since his first single failed to deliver (I hope his peak wasn't before his album). But he will come with another single before his album drop for sure & he got radio support to the max. So mainstream wise, Drake got more hype right now for sure.

Drake had more hype before his solo album, but with the help of a popular mixtape and grammy nom's. His popularity is steadily decreasing I think, and he will never reach the hype em gets for albums :8)

I think Drake shouldn't burn himself out like he's doing now, it's like he doesn't even have an album and people already got tired of him. And the single for the album is really underwhelming and underperforming compared to his mixtape single. Not to mention b.o.b's stealing Drake's thunder a bit right now with his first single and already #1 BB.

It may seem like Drake to some just because he's connected more with a pop audience. But Eminem's buzz was crazy.

Dre said he had people coming up on the street asking him constantly and that he'd never seen anything like it. You had everyone from Mos Def to LL Cool J giving him props before he even dropped.

You know, lyrical kings, going out of their way to speak on him. And people like that don't give props easily. Then when "My Name Is" come you had all that crazy TRL shit too.
