Good question.

Well, I think I wouldn't have been such a big fan as I am now. Why?

Well:
I don't like more than half of the songs on the SSLP.
I don't like about half of the songs on the SSLP.
I don't like about half of the songs on Encore.
I don't like more than half of the songs on Relapse.

He still has the other 80 songs on my iPod not counting Fts. so.....i guess TES is a big bonus :whistle:

He wouldn't be AS much of a genius in my eyes no.

That album was a true evolution and his best so far IMO. It's as close as he's come to flawless and if Recovery is meant to be his best, he has to better that. Which... Is no easy job.

My reasons why, thanks for the idea:

1. MMLP and SSLP were good, but it really showed his skill to, imo, continue to get better since I think TES is his best album.

2. My favorite song of all time is Say Goodbye Hollywood, Sing for the Moment is top 5, and White America, Business, Superman, Till I Collapse, My Dad's Gone Crazy, and Square Dance are all top 30

3. Without Me was a great lead single, great video, and overall great song.

4. It's the only em album I can always listen all the way through and not skip songs.

TES is what made him a megastar, I know MMLP was big but it was more in a controversial way, while TES made everyone listen to Eminem, it's like a pop/rap album that attract every type of audience.

when old school hip-hop listeners put a list of greatest albums of all time, TES will be there.
i remember reading 3 blogs about some list of the greatest albums of all time, and TES always make the top 10!!

Hip hop heads usually put SSLP and MMLP above TES :p

And if Em never made TES he would've never made Encore :whistle:
