1 million!!! for sure.... This is a Promise...

When this shit hit the net OMG ... when i searched "Eminem Not Afraid" it was ranked 2nd most searched topic on Google !!! yes Google you can view this information by scrolling all the way down to the chart.

This song is him coming to peace with himself and honestly its his 2nd best debut single he has ever had. It reminds me so much of Lose Yourself. Inspirational type tracks are always awesome.

Main Reasons are...

Lyrically he is in top form ! wordplay , punchlines , whitey lines the whole package.

Flow he is in top form ! the way he bends words is amazing , honestly some words in his new single i never thought you can put them together and make them rhyme so smoothly.

Vocally he is in top form ! he is using his MMLP / TES type sound which was what made him so listenable.

He is defiantly out to prove his spot.

i'm going to say that this will top TES or at least be on par but probably not MMLP just cause he was sooooo pissed off it was a hail storm back in 2000 .

TES he was just proving he was the top MC in the game which he can still do with Recovery

MMLP he was proving that too but he was genuinely fucking pissed as hell.. like im surprised he didn't shoot someone lmao

Yes, Encore and Relapse where Sub par to his first 3 albums but i remember saying to myself back in 2004 this album is going to be a disappointment, i just had the feeling that he was ready to get away from the spot light. If you remember "Goodbye Hollywood" yes that song is my proof he fell off purposely . All he was trying to do is provide for his family and all he ended up doing was alienating himself and his daughters from the world. They couldn't be normal without having 200 people running at them like a bunch of fucking maniacs.

What really amazes me so far about the first single is that he still thinks he needs to prove that he is top 5 greatest mc's alive ... his first 3 albums > still take big shits on all albums that have come out so far in the past what 8 years... don't get me wrong i listen to all types of artists but no artist has made a album that was on par with tes or mmlp as of yet.

Just be happy he is still making music period ... like i said if he wanted too he can take his Donkey Kong machine and disappear into the mountains and for all he cares you can get fucked ...

Hes going over a mil with this one in first week, again relapse sold 600k and it was HIGHLY anticipated in its year, a lot of people are anticipating this even more now and with this kind of single (not afraid) i think Recovery is in good hands

Cause the shit I hear is crazy
But your either getting lazy or you don't believe in you no more
Seems like your own opinions, not one you can form
Cant make a decision you keep questioning yourself
Second guessing and its almost like your begging for my help

I think this single will raise sales significantly, yes. I think his second single will do the same (I have tremendous faith at this point). I think his second single will sound very different form this first single. My inclination is that the 2nd single will be something bump-able in the club... WITHOUT sounding like Shake that etc.etc.etc. I think it will be classic hip-hop + club playable.

Anyway, my real question is...

Will the fact that his last album was Relapse hurt his sales?

PS. I *LOVE* Relapse. But, lets be real, its not an album seller.

My thought is that Drop the World, Forever, Airplanes, etc. were all intended to make it *VERY* clear that Relapse was a unique album, and not an indication of what Recover will be. I think hes really trying to drive that fact home... expect something classic!

I really, really hope it outsells Carter 3.

I really hate that Lil Wayne is the gold standard for recent rap album sales.

So, just for that... 3.5 million Total US.

It *SHOULD* have more staying power than Relapse, as well as higher first week sales... and relapse itself is around 2 mill.
