aight i haven't made a topic in like 6 months so pump the brakes before you try and type something unnecessary

I like to troll alot and i wouldn't have put Eminem in my top 5 anymore till a few months ago, but this is Real Real REAL Talk: I woke up today in full Stan mode expecting Lose Yourself 2, skipping class and all. Walked the dog, then tuned to Shade45 (i'm aware it leaked way before but i had no idea then). And damn, to me...this was Lose Yourself 2. And even after playing it like 50 times in the car, ipod, everything...it's still that good in my eyes (ears actually).

The beat had that epic feel (Boi-1da wins), the hook was on some Lord of the Rings meets church choir shit which i love from Krizz Kaliko singin all the Strange hooks. The verses went hard.

So what does everyone else rate this song?

I gave it an 8. I compared it to the songs I really like from him and scaled it from there. Obviously you can't compare certain songs with other songs (Different mood, atmosphere, etc) but I tried to be somewhat accurate. I gave it an 8.

I recommend people to give it several listens (like any other Em song) before jumping to a conclusion. The first time Not Afraid was a 7 to me, now, after 30 listens or so, it's a solid 9.

am i the only one who really didn't like it?... i think the hook/bridge is waaaay too much corny, i mean beautiful was corny too but there wasnt such a "gospel high pitch voice" "This sounds like some lost verses from ‘We Are The World 2010.’" then and i don't want him to apologize for relapse... this album was great... it really feels like "ok critics want that, then imma do that"... no more "i dont give a fuck"

i would've been disappointed with a "WMY Part 2" too but yeah this wasn't exactly what i wanted to hear either, but he cant match everybody's minds i think i hoped for something like business or similar

then hands down this will do great on radio i think and this is what it is hopefully made for... i hope he did this song _only_ for the radio :O

i hope this gets a lot of attention and airplay cuz radio needs this song...i turned that shit on a couple weeks ago for the first time in forever. And holy shit it was horrible. But then again, DC metro is too club and "hood" for this to get much attention. Radio hoes are gonna request some new Gucci instead of classic Recovery singles.

I gave it a 10, here's why:

Best first single by him.
Inspirational track, he takes the bad and spins it to be so.
One of his best hooks.
Good metaphors/punches, what have you, not used to him doing it this much.
Lyricism was dope for a song like this, his flow made it what it is.
He addresses the accent, him being gone, while still having the fuck you attitude.
It's close to lose yourself for most of these reasons ^^^, and that's arguably his best song.
It hyped me for recovery 10 times more, and i was already expecting his best album to date.

I dont remember the dudes name but the dude that posted above you, clustr, copied and pasted what looks like something off rapradar bashing it. I remember someone on that site writing the "We Are The World 2010" line so clustr is either the dude that wrote it or he ripped the criticism off someone.
