If each song averages 4:30 in length, exactly 20 songs can make the disc.

that hardly ever happen, a rap song normally already longer than a normal song. And don't forget the 2 seconds gap between each song. 15 or 16 songs will be more appropriate.

I will miss some of the skits, take Relapse for example, I loved Dr. West, Tonja & Mr. Mathers. They sets a special vibe to the upcoming song. Skits like Steve Berman, Paul & Ken Kaniff I can live without!

Kinda annoying really. I

think skits do well to tell a part of the story of the album and the thought process behind it (bar the Paul skits, there just repetivive). It also helps the listener understand the track following the skit.

When I first hear the album, or when I'm listening to it through, I do.. I dont listen to a skit before a song everytime. I just feel that when you first hear it, the skit gives you an idea behind the song. Of course, the songs are usualy obvious anyway, but it just sort of spells it out to you and I like that on some tracks.

The Steve Berman skit before The Way I Am is a prime example

From what I remember, Em always made his songs lead into each other.

Off the top of my head:

Remember Me -> I'm Back
Hello -> Tonya

Etc.

No 2 second gap

Curtain Up -> White America
The Kiss -> Soldier

to name two more.

that's like, for every manufactured CD. The 2 seconds are on the disc, not the song, so if you listen to the mp3 it doesn't matter.

I have nothing against the skits, it doesn't matter to me. Em just want to make "the mood" of this album totally different from his previous I think, and the skits make people think of them so he excluded those.
