Nowadays does Em have any competition in terms of raw rap?

Postby Yogi DMT » Apr 30th, '10, 23:45

Lil wayne, drake, i don;t really know or care who else, does Em have any real competition these days or is he literally just sitting on top of the game. Tupac and biggie was also good but they aren;t around to make new music today :'(

Nas
Method Man (was amazing on Wu-Massacre)
Royce

But in terms of mainstream, pretty much no-one

Nas I would say probably his biggest competition, and Royce.

There's quite a few Underground artists which are real sick, like Jedi Mind Tricks, RA The Rugged Man, Immortal Technique, Lowkey etc.

There are a lot of raw less mainstream/alternative rappers out there; Immortal Technique, Nas, Juice, Supernatural, Royce, Redman, Method Man, just to name a few...

Whether they're better or not is a matter of opinion, but they're definitely competition. In term of mainstream rappers, noooooo. Em is miles ahead.
