Does Dre think Eminem is the best?

Postby nkjordan23 » May 3rd, '10, 11:29

I was always curious about this..

Is there anything at any point in time documented where Dre has said what I thought about Em as far as ranking in the rap game? I mean working so closely with him he has to have an opinion on the guy. I love having the argument with people of why Em is the best, but Dre's opinion would be sort of cool to hear. Or maybe what Dre has thought about individual albums by Em?

There so many close minded fucks out there.
Like those people on MTV when they laughed when Sway ( interviewer ) said Eminem should be in the list.Just cause hes white maybe ? Racist bastards?

I mean what does 2pac or biggie have and Em dont ?
Actually Em got everything a rapper should have and MORE.

If you`re a hater or a fan , You cant deny Eminem is the greatest MC to ever breath on a microphone ,At this point.

For me and many others. He has been the greatest Since The Eminem show.

About Dre , I dont think he ever said it. But I do think he would if he has been asked.

Proof said Eminem is the best Mc ever in a Timwestwood interview/freestyle show.

I swear HOPSIN is better than most rappers out there.

Some rappers should watch it. 2pac for instance, I think he became too courageous and overblew his rapping "fuck you too, fuck you too, we're gonna kill all you motherfuckers' then he realized and became kind of the smaller version of himself 'now when I came out I said this was all about biggie, then everyone had to open their motherfuckin opinions.' then he overblew it again. I think that's why he got killed. It was meant to be I think.

I basically think Eminem is the real thing, and the black rappers are wanna bes. Em's just trying to be nice with them.

I'm talking about in terms of the quality brought through about a person with rapping verses. Eminem sounds 'real' cool. It's more characteristic of white guys I suppose, the rapping sounds cooler such as in 'Patiently waiting' and 'Don't Push Me.'

And no I don't have any courage. I do what's smartest for myself. It makes me happy and content. I was just joking. 'Courage'? I don't know what it means off the top of my head.

White guys are stereotyped as being cool? This is news to me.

But I don't really understand what you're saying.. Eminem's cool and modern black rappers are trying to imitate him?

Em's the best by far. And I listen to a lot of hip-hop and fuck any lame coward who just uses the "oh you're just a stan" cop-out every single time somebody says Em is the best.

Em is the Tyson to rap, 2Pac is Ali. Many say Ali / Pac are the greatest because they were so authoritative, overpowering and influential. 2Pac also went out on a high. It'd be like Em getting killed after The Eminem Show.

But technically speaking, in any aspect, Eminem is far and above Pac or any other great. Just like Tyson is in terms of boxing skill. Fast, slow, angry, emotional, realistic, surreal, psychopathic, storytelling - Em has mastered 1,000 styles to 50 different subject matters and created 1,000 more.

To people who say he JUST talks about his daughter / mother etc. are idiots. Out of what, about 400 songs, he's maybe a total of what... Seven? Towards them both combined. Yeah, phew, what a gigantic percentage. In comparison to how many about the cops / drugs and gangstas with 2Pac? Lmao. Eminem can do what any great can, none of them can do what he can.

Em is my number one as far as what i listen to.

But he has been farrr too inconsistent in his career to be recognised as more than a top 5 at a stretch.

Some people have more than 1 classic.

I consider the first three albums classics, and I think Relapse will go down as one of the greatest ever lyrical albums once the expectations that went along with it are forgotten.

Whether he's the best ever is far too subjective and impossible to prove. I personally think he's the best ever but tell that to some hip-hop heads and they laugh in your face. But I'd say Eminem has introduced more people and increased the general popularity of hip-hop moreso than any other rapper, and that in itself is a reason to go down as one of, if not the best of all time.

Inconsistent? His first three albums are classics and each one better than the last. As someone already said, I know of nobody with that feat.

His fourth was a dip, fifth was great but not a classic and his sixth could now be another classic. Compared to Jay-Z's what like... One actual considered classic out of 11? The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show shit on anything ever done by Jay-Z or Nas. And I'm a big Nas fan too. But artistically, nobody is close to Em.

Not that it matters anyway. You're the greatest on skill and content, Em wouldn't need to have another classic to make him the best. He's the best lyrically, the best at delivery, the best rapper period.
