Anyway, One Mic, I haven't read your opinion on the song.
Did you like it or?

Let's see how far I am:
"I'm not afraid, to take a stand, everybody, come take my hand, we'll walk this road together, through the storm...something something, rhymes with storm, let 'em know, you're not alone, holla if you feel like, you been down that same road."
Hmm...I don't think I have it yet...![]()

On first listen, I was kind of bored half way through, and was quite shocked. I liked the chorus/hook from the start though, the "EVERYBODY" bit I could just tell this song is going to be a winner!
I got a lump in my throat (well, not really but its what people say) when he said about Relapse being "eh" and perhaps he ran them accents into the ground. Also when he said "To the fans, I'll never let you down again, I'm back"......I was thinking![]()
However I think its definitely a "grower" and gets better with every listen. I can see myself getting bored of this song If I keep playing it though, so havent' listened that many times
Overall its a solid first single, and its given me high hopes for the album
Judging from the (general) reaction to it so far, and by that I don't just mean Eminem fans/forums Its going to be a huge record for the masses. I said it will become the most universally liked Eminem song since Lose Yourself, I think it will sell a ridiculous amount, and go to #1 in various countries. Its already gotten spins on the HBO 24/7 boxing thing Mayweather-Mosely , shot to #1 on iTunes without ANY promotion, not even a music video yet.....Its already more popular than any song on Relapse from the general public / casual Eminem fan
Not Afraid >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any Eminem first single before it

My opinion is important for myself tho!

shadyboymez wrote:It is a good song....a great rebound from the "ehhhh" Relapse. I have a friend who thought Eminem lost it (not my opinion), basically because all he had been doing was using accents to rap. He heard Not Afraid and said he can't wait for Recovery to come out. I think this song will bring Eminem much more positive feedback than Relapse as a whole.
