I heard about that one, might pick it up afteri I've finished The catcher in the rye. Any more recommendations to expand my intellect?

I humbly recommend "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson.

That looks quite good, thanks for the tip GGGG.

Trust me, school doesn't teach you as much as self study does. If you're interested in something, look it up, read about it. Guaranteed you'll learn more than you do in school.

I would also suggest books written by Dr. Paul Ekman, they are superb. You'll learn alot about psychology if you read his books.

Thats what I've been doing for years. Usually when I find something i know little about I go straight to the interwebs and find out everyting about it. I quite enjoy clicking every hyperlink in a wikipedia page as well, although I doubt wikipedia would be the right source to learn about psychology.

Wikipedia can be quite resourceful, but granted, if you want to learn something you need a book. Wikipedia can just inform so much, whereas a book can go in more detail.

I get A's with little effort for the most part at school. I enroll in tough classes. I'd consider myself smart also but I feel like the school would rather review previously learned material than introduce you to new things every year.

If you guys want to talk about Aves then I could lay down the law on Preen Glands or if you wanted to talk about the Rain Forest's soil I could certainly assist in a discussion on laterites but for the most part those are not interesting enough discussions for TR to hold.

Next time, start a discussion that lies closer to your fields of expertise. That way you can and will participate. Just make sure that it is remotely interesting and I'll be sure to express my views as vivid as I can, Cole.

You asked why people here don't get tired of talking about Eminem everyday.
